Mumio - Russias secret weapon against illness
Mumijo is still regarded as one of Russia's GREATEST WEAPONS against illness and disease and it is officially licensed for use in that country.
However, it has yet to become widely accepted in Western Medicine.
A Russian secret weapon against disease, more powerful than Ginseng, is becoming available for the first time in small quantities in the West. Like a lot of traditional Russian remedies and treatments, it has first been well studied and then licenced officially for medical use in Russia. It was forbidden for many years to export it, because of its scarcity and high value. It's a rare and mysterious resin, containing extremely scarce medicinal substances, fatty acids, minerals and high potency amino acids.
For Brain and Body
----------------------------
Its indications are similar to those for Ginseng...a powerful tonic for the effects of ageing. It has been mainly described by its proponents as a "brain and body" tonic. But it's also anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic, anti-carcinogenic and can balance the hormones.
We've used it, and it works!
----------------------------------------
However, despite the popularity and official standing of Mumio in the Far East, the full mechanism of its action is not known. Medical sources refer to it as a balsam and a tonic.
Magic from Bees and Rocks
------------------------------------------
It is believed to be an exudate or resin, which can only be found in certain caves or holes in the rocks where bees have made their nests for hundreds or even thousands of years. It could probably be described as a concentration of fossilised honey, dead bees, bees nests and beeswax, which percolates over long periods of time through certain rocks, under the influence of spring water, emerging as a resin type substance. It is extremely rich in minerals, especially silica, very rare amino acids and fatty acids.
Absolutely unique...
------------------------------
In folklore it has been called the " Blood of the Mountains" or "Tears of the Rocks". It does not occur except in exceptional sites, and because of the scarcity and the high price always placed on it, the location of the caves where it was to be found has always been a closely guarded secret. And when Communism was in reign in Russia, export of the tonic was forbidden, because it was regarded as a national treasure.
Widely Used for Centuries.
---------------------------------------
It's powers in Russian folklore are legendary, engendering and old saying : "Nothing can save you from death...except perhaps Mumio." It is used widely in India and Burma, where it has a big reputation for healing Asthma, Chronic Bronchitis, Kidney Sstones, Diabetes, Skin conditions and as an anti-septic. It is especially valued as an adjuvant remedy in diabetes.
In Burma it is called Cas-Tum, or Blood of the Mountain. It is famous in that country as a tonic and a remedy against the effects of ageing. Several varieties of Mumio exist in the Far East, from India, Mongolia and Japan. But, like the original Chinese Ginseng, the native Russian Mumio has the best reputation for excellence.
Mumio is a dark substance, soft at room temperature, like toffee, with an aromatic smell. You can recognise Mumio of a good quality once it starts to soften at room temperature. It is sold in small squares, of five grams.
How to Treat Yourself with Mumio.
-------------------------------------------------
Indications: Best results are achieved in cardiovascular, respiratory,gastro-intestinal, fractures and bone problems generally, rheumatology, diabetes, paralysis of peripheral nerves, allergic states and skin diseases (used in a cream and internally)..
* Cardiovascular diseases: Three months treatment is required in total. Introduce a 10 days pause each time you complete a month. Dosage is 0.2 g , or a big tablespoon, morning and night. Seven sachets will be required.
* Constipation: 2 grams of Mumio with 1 litre of boiled water. Drink 100 mls every day for 10 days. Repeat the course six times. Three sachets required for whole course.
* Liver diseases: 0.2 Mumio once daily, without interruption, for three months. Give yourself 10 days interruption, then another three months. Seven sachets are required.
* Allergic states: Mumio is well proven in this field. Best results are when you dissolve 1 gram in one litre of hot water. Take 100 mls a day in fresh fruit juice or mineral water, for three months. Pause for two weeks then repeat again, for one year.
* Gastritis: Three months treatment is required in
total. Introduce a 10 days pause each time you complete a month. Dosage is 0.2 g , or a big tablespoon, morning and night. Seven sachets will be required.
* High Blood Pressure: Good results have been shown. Take 0.2 g or Mumio once a day for 10 days. Pause for 5 days and then start again. When you have used up all the sachet in this way, pause for one month and repeat this three times. Three to four sachets will be required.
* Anti-aging Tonic: Dissolve one sachet of 5 gram with 20 tablespoon of warm water. Keep it in the fridge. Use every day 15 drops. When one sachet has been used, interrupt for 15 days and then repeat, indefinitely.
The Official Research.
----------------------------------
In 1978, in Moscow, in the Academy of Biological Science, Dr. A.S.Shakirova, V.N. Ismaila, and A.Vishinskov published a medical study entitled "Research into the Traditional Reported Healing Properties of Mumio". Their analysis found that Mumio has 28 different minerals, 10 different amino acids, high potency B Vitamins and Silica.
What the Research proved.
----------------------------------------
* Generally Mumio helps the body's powers of regeneration.
* It is a detoxifier of the body and improves the immune system.
* One of the best indications for Mumio is for healing broken bones, accordingto the Russian doctors.
How Mumio is taken.
------------------------------
The three Russian doctors in their report advise in general a dosage of 0.15g to 0.20 of Mumio once daily. A typical course of treatment is 40 days.
However, the protocol is that the patient takes the Mumio for 10 days, then waits 10 days, then repeats again until he or she has taken it 40 days. It should be taken preferably in the morning, in mineral water or fresh fruit juice. For individual ailments, courses of treatment have been worked out by research and should be followed. Alcohol should be avoided while taking it.
Preparing the Mumio...
--------------------------------Boil the water first, then let it cool a bit. When medium hot, melt the square of Mumio in the water. Don't expose Mumio to boiling water, since it can destroy some of the rare fatty acids found in it. In Russia, there' another way of taking it, traditionally. It is kept in the fridge, and taken out once daily. It softens when it reaches room heat. You then use the clean top of a match, and scrape off enough to cover the head of the match. You melt this in your mouth. Once daily.
A good way to prepare it is to dissolve one sachet of five grams in 20 big spoons (or 100 mls ) of water which has been boiled, then cooled to medium warm. One tablespoon in that case has 0.25 g of Mumio. One medium spoon has 0.20 and one teaspoon has 0.1 g. In other words, one sachet of 5 grams has 25 doses of 0.2g of Mumio. Or 50 doses if you are using 0.1 g. This means that the relationship is in liquid 1:20. This solution must be kept in the fridge.
Case Histories:
-------------------------
Margaret M., Dublin, complained of nervousness, low energy and persistent vertigo. She had been in hospital twice and had many tests, all of which were negative. She was told she was probably suffering from depression. After one week on Mumio her vertigo began to disappear. Two months on Mumio restored her to full health.M.N., London , a senior management consultant, was suffering from "burn-out" out and was suffering panic attacks, irritable bowel syndrome and low energy. Mumio restored him to health in one month.H.M., aged 65, Dublin, was suffering from angina, and took Mumio for two months. He reported that his energy had come back.He reported that his libido had returned and his chest pains appeared very seldom.
P.L. aged 70, from Kilkenny, Ireland, was suffering from depression and confusion. Her family worried about a possible onset of Alzheimer's. She complained of pains in all her joints, and stopped meeting her friends. After three months of taking Mumio, and also some supplements, she was again going out on social evenings, and enjoying it.

Mumijo has a complex structure, in terms of its chemical composition, and is mined only in the mountainous areas of the world. Reference of its very effective properties is found in the ancient literature of the East More than 70 medical writings and papers contain rich material on the wide use of mumijo by ancient doctors as an agent for stimulating regeneration in several body tissues, as an anti-inflammatory, anti-toxic agent, as a preparation for overall boosting and also as an agent restoring the impaired function of peripheral nerve stems and the analyzer centres of the brain.
Where is Mumijo From? Mumijo (pronounced: moo-mee-o), also known as Mumio, is a natural dark mineral substance found in rock crevices at altitudes of 2,000 - 5,000 meters, high in mountainous regions of Asia, particularly:
- Caucasus Mountains: The Caucasus Mountains lie in Eurasiabetween the Black and the Caspian seas, in the Caucasus region. The Caucasus Mountains are made up of two separate mountain systems, known as the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range and the Lesser Caucasus Mountains.
- Altai Mountains: The Altay or Altai Mountains span central Asia, where Russia, China, Mongolia and Kazakhstan come together, and where the Irtysh, Ob and Yenisei rivers meet. The Altay Mountainsare known as the birthplace of the Turks.
- Tibet Mountains: Tibet is home of the Great Himalaya Mountains, the world's highest mountain range, containing all top ten of the world's highest peaks. The Himalayas are a non-continuous range, segmented into sub-ranges.
Translated from the Tibetan to the Russian language, "mumijo" means "secondary, mountainous, processed". The primary, original raw material is of no relevance; what is important is that such raw material has been reprocessed over hundreds of years under mountainous conditions. Mumijo's mean age, as determined by scientists, is 700-900 years.
Mumijo increases immunity, reduces muscle fatigue by 15%, boosts memory and strengthens mental powers; it normalizes the function of the body, i.e. external and internal body organs. For this reason it can be used in conjunction with existing methods for AIDS.
Mumijo is effective in a series of diseases: diseases of the urinary tract, cystitis. Mumijo is capable of accelerating the healing process of ulcers of varying origin, in other words it helps wonderfully in the treatment of gastrointestinal tract diseases: gastritis, gastric ulcer. Mumijo is one of the most powerful agents for helping with allergies: when taken steadily, the allergy presents no problem at all. Rashes and acne are a difficult condition which all teenagers sooner or later will have to cope with, and more than 80% of young people cannot get rid of the rashes until the age of 30. Mumijo is one of the best agents for helping with rashes and acne.
Mumijo is a natural product, but one has to possess the necessary know-how to process it properly, purify it and out of several tenths of microelements and thousands of organic compounds to form active compounds, which can be accomplished by very few out of the thousands that attempt to process mumijo.
Mumijo must be purified and treated employing a technology guaranteeing high quality with a great quantity of biologically active substances.
A process yielding the greatest possible quantity of biologically active compounds -during the processing of mumijo - is feasible for only a few out of the huge number of those engaged in mumijo processing. It is precisely those biologically active substances that form the basis of mumijo's healing action.
The actual, high quality mumijo has a strong characteristic fine pleasant smell of coniferous wood that one wants to smell again and again. Mumijo has a bitter taste and gets soft when in contact with heat from fingers.
PURIFIED MUMIJO FROM THE ALTAI MOUNTAINS
Mumijo is one of the most valuable supplements, as documented over hundreds of years. It is a unique mixture of biologically active substances created by nature. The unique combination of organic and inorganic compounds included in its composition give mumijo numerous healing properties. All such substances are in easily digestible form. It is totally harmless for humans of all ages. In the past it has been glorified in legends associated with its unusual healing properties. Physicians in the ancient times (Avicenna, Biruni) have described methods for its mining and use. The supplement was used for the most diverse diseases - fractures, sprains, polio, migraines, epilepsy, facial nerve paralysis, poisoning, gastro-intestinal ulcers, inflammatory diseases of the bladder, tuberculosis. Mumijo as a dietary supplement is known in eastern medicine for over 3000 years. Aristotle (4th century B.C.) described the properties of the substance and proposed a method for controlling the quality and auxiliary properties of the preparation. Mumijo is the traditional European name of the resinous material. The word translates from Greek as "prophylactic, protective agent".
Description: Once cleaned from impurities and extracted, mumijo is a homogeneous brown-black elastic mass, with a glossy surface, peculiar smell and bitter taste. Resin smells like ambergris, only more intense, it covers all other smells and at the same time it has a complex aroma with notes of cedar, bitter absinthe and a little of ramson (wild garlic). The dry mumijo density ranges from 1.1 to 1.8 g/cm3. Mumijo has plastic-like behavior, at a temperature lower than 20οC it is hard and gets soft when heated. It quickly dissolves in water without leaving any residue, and it gets soft when worked in the fingers. Purified mumijo has an unlimited life. In tablet or powder form the substance loses some of its healing properties and is less effective.
Composition: Mumijo contains 28 chemical elements, 30 macro- and micro-elements, as well as 10 different metal oxides, 6 amino acids, including animal melanins, a series of vitamins, essential oils, resins and resinous-like substances. It also contains bee poison, humic bases and other substances not fully studied. The complexity and variability of the composition of mumijo in conjunction with its form, currently prevent the exact definition of its definitive formula. In general, a mean picture would be as follows: the volume of the inorganic part usually exceeds the organic part by 2-4 times. The organic part contains carbon (20-57%), oxygen (30-48%), hydrogen (4-18%) and nitrogen (3-8%) in the composition of various acids, resins and proteins. The inorganic part contains calcium, sodium, potassium, magnesium and aluminum minerals. In addition to these, the inorganic part comprises also about 30 microelements of rare earths, rubidium, caesium, barium, strontium, lead, chromium, antimony, etc.
The quantity of each of the above ranges from traces to centrigrams, but it is precisely those substances that our body lacks and mumijo fully meets our body requirements in those substances.
Healing properties. Mumijo has a wide range of pharmacological actions. It is most commonly used for helping with fractures as it boosts the metabolism of inorganic ingredients in the body, it accelerates the healing of fractures and bones and wounds thanks to its regenerative properties and quick formation of bone callus. At the same time it improves the overall condition of the body, it normalizes appetite and sleep.
It contributes to the healing of gastric and duodenal ulcers. It helps with gastritis with increased and decreased acidity, colitis, it improves liver function in cases of hepatitis and cirrhosis, it stimulates the blood-formation process, the function of the adrenal cortex, the intestine, and increases the immune response. It is effective in improving thrombophlebitis of various origins, purulent otitis, parodontic diseases, as well as diseases of the peripheral nervous system, radiculitis, inflammations of the nerve plexus, neuritis and neuralgia.
The substance is effective in skin diseases, eczema in particular, and is used also as an overall tonic, successfully substituting multivitamins and microelement complexes.
Mumijo has moderate anti-neoplastic activity, it is capable of partially inhibiting tumor processes, it stimulates the hematopoietic (blood-forming) system. Its unique bacterial composition ensures anti-toxic, overall tonic, anti-inflammatory action while at the same time it balances the occurrence of dysbacteriosis, and this is why in some cases it is preferable to antibiotics. Mumijo is recommended for post-operative recovery. It also improves burns and gastric ulcers. It is recommended for depressions, dystrophies, disabilities. It has a favorable effect in the case of bronchial asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia. It causes no benign or malignant lesions of tissues. When taken continuously it causes no adverse events, it is therefore harmless when taken against purulent-inflammatory processes. Its cosmetic effect is well-known. The preparation increases skin tone, helps reduce wrinkles, protects the skin against adverse environmental effects, it restores missing micro- and macro-elements in integumentary tissues, it stimulates skin regeneration processes and for this reason it is used for making remedies reducing and eliminating scars.
Mumijo has practically no side-effects, other than in cases of individual intolerance or when taken in excessive amounts. Alcohol is contraindicated for the period during which mumijo is taken.
The first scientific investigation into the healing properties of mumijo was the doctoral thesis of Surgeon A. Sakirov, of Tashkent. The author examined mumijo with respect to the potential of the substance to eliminate the consequences of wounds and fractures. The author established the supplement's great effectiveness and the fact that the substance helps the healing process of bones improving at the same time the overall condition of the patient. Sakirov's research laid the foundations for the scientific investigation of the healing properties of mumijo in traumatology and other medical disciplines.
For the first time in 1970, T. Abdurahmanov and his associates used the preparation for the treatment of thrombophlebitis of the deep veins of the lower extremities, without using other medication or dietary supplements. Mumijo was given at a dose of 0.3 g once daily over a period of ten days. Patients received no other medication, which was a revolutionary approach at the time. The results of the general clinical, biochemical and blood tests showed that patients, from day 3 to day 6, experienced pain alleviation, the swelling of the affected limb subsided, the overall condition improved. At the end of treatment, on day 8-10, in practically all patients temperature at the site of the injury normalized and the other symptoms of the disease disappeared. Furthermore, it was found that the oral taking of the supplement increases by 1-1.5% the hemoglobin content, the red blood cell count, normalizes erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), as well as the differential (white blood cell) count.
In another paper presented in the same year, T. Abdurahmanov announced the great effectiveness in the healing of chronic colitis exhibited by a dense extract of mumijo. The preparation was given at a dose of 0.2 g once daily over a period of 10 days without breaks. The main symptoms of the disease disappeared in the majority of patients on day 4 or 5 as of the time treatment started and only in isolated cases did they disappear on day 10 as of the start of treatment.
In 1986, V. Kozlovskaya used mumijo for helping with diseases of peripheral nerve terminals of the musculoskeletal-motor system (radiculitis, neurodermatitis, nerve plexus inflammation, neuralgia) by rubbing the affected body parts for several minutes with an aqueous solution of the preparation. After rubbing and light massage, the tone of the inflamed muscle was reduced, the sense of pain and itching disappeared, while all other symptoms of the disease disappeared in the first 3-5 days. The treatment ended with complete, one hundred per cent healing of all patients.
In laboratory tests on rats (in 1968, 1970), Y. Yuralieva ascertained mumijo's capacity to accelerate regeneration processes in ulcerative-dystrophic gastric lesions. This constituted the experimental establishment of the composition for using the preparation for improving gastric and duodenal ulcer. Clinical investigations were then carried out in 74 patients in two clinics of the Internal Medicine Section of the Medical Institute of Kirgizia, the Leningrad Institute of Health and Sanitation and the Medical School of the University of Tajikistan. The majority of patients had been suffering from the disease for 2 to 10 years. Patients on diet took mumijo at the clinic under specified conditions. 0.1 g of the preparation was given orally twice daily (morning and evening), 30 minutes before taking food, over a period of 24 to 26 days. Mumijo was taken dissolved by volume in 1 teaspoon of tea or boiled water. 15-20 minutes after taking the solution, almost all patients experienced alleviation of their usual headaches. All dyspepsia symptoms (nausea, vomiting, heartburn, eructation, etc.) resolved after 7-10 days of treatment. In the last third of treatment, the remaining annoying symptoms disappeared in all patients. A substantial effect was noted in all 74 patients. There were practically no side effects.
Oral administration doses:
1. Shakirov's regimen: children up to 14 years old - 0.05g, adults 0.2-0.5 g once daily, in the morning, 1-2 hours before eating. The preparation can be accompanied by sweet tea or water with honey to make up for its bitterness. The treatment cycle lasts 7-10 days, then a break of 10 days followed by two more cycles. In adults the necessary amount of mumijo is often determined based on body weight: up to 70 kg-0.2 g, up to 80 kg- 0.25 g, up to 90 kg-0.3 g, in excess of 90 kg - 0.5g.
2. General auxiliary regimen: to be taken once daily, in the morning, fasted, 0.15-0.5 g. Treatment cycle - 10 days followed by a break of 5-10 days, then administration may be resumed once more. Presently doctors tend to agree that a break of 5 days is preferable.
3. The popular way: the preparation, of wheat grain size, is dissolved in a small amount of boiled water and is used 1-2 times per day. At such dosages, the supplement has no contraindications and side-effects. A very good result is obtained with simultaneous oral and external use.
Mumijo ointments. For external use. Mumijo ointments 4% and 7.5%
Ingredients: mumijo - 4 or 7.5 g, water 25 or 27 ml, anhydrous lanoline - 35 g, medical grade vaseline - to 100 g. Preparation: Given that lanoline and vaseline are a suitable environment for the growth of microorganisms, it is necessary to sterilize all ingredients. In the case of mumijo, heating in a water bath of a temperature of 25-30 degrees C is enough, while lanoline and vaseline must be sterilized at a temperature of 180-200 degrees C for 20 minutes. It is best that all utensils and instruments that are necessary for the above be sterilized in boiling water for 15 minutes. Then it is necessary to dissolve mumijo in water, then add to the solution in small installments the melted, partially cooled, lanoline and vaseline mixture and stir until a homogeneous mass is obtained. The preparation is kept in a place protected from light at a temperature lower than 20 degrees.

Indications for the use of Mumijo.
The enigmatic, legendary, ultimate preparation mumijo is considered to be superior, in terms of strength of action, even to the famous "root of life" - ginseng.
Mumijo is widely accepted as having antiphlogistic, antibacterial and analgesic characteristics and it has proven effective in the treatment of:
Mumijo activates the metabolism of inorganic ingredients in the body, it increases blood content in calcium, potassium and phosphorus salts, important structural elements being part of the structure of bones. It helps increase the amount of red blood cells in blood and the hemoglobin content, which contributes to a better blood supply to affected tissues, and has a stimulatory effect on the whole body. Mumijo has a wide range of biological action, it increases the non specific stability of the body to adverse environmental factors, it is a restorative, detoxifying, anti-inflammatory and bacteriocidal agent, it exhibits cholagogic action, it stimulates certain functions of the immune and blood-formation system, it improves metabolism, it stimulates regeneration processes. Mumijo destroys rheumatic processes, it clears obstructions, it eliminates disorders of the water-salts metabolism, it strengthens genital gland activity. Mumijo has a positive effect on nerve processes. It can absorb masses and eruptions, it causes an increase in bile removal. It is very effective in the case of diseases caused by vascular sclerosis, it is used successfully for vein dilation and in cases of thrombophlebitis.
Furthermore, mumijo is quite successful in improving diseases of the respiratory system, bronchitis, bronchial asthma, tuberculosis, chronic bronchitis, diabetes, dropsy, cholelithiasis. Mumijo has acquired particular importance as an activator of bone tissue regeneration and as an antiseptic. Special experiments have shown that mumijo eliminates capillary permeability histaminic disorders. It is useful in diseases of the ear, gums, liver, the heart, it has a favorable effect on a series of important indicators of body activity, on survival and on the increase of the average life time. It is advisable to include the taking of mumijo in the general measures taken for helping in acute disease forms associated with ionizing radiation (blood cancer). Rubbing mumijo on the skin is effective in peripheral nerve system diseases, in radiculitis, neurodermatitis, neuralgia of the facial and the trigeminal nerve. Mumijo is indicated for diseases associated with gastrointestinal tract function disorders (gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, gastritis). Taking mumijo orally has an effect both directly on the esophagus and stomach walls and on the body as a whole - as a general tonic that stimulates the immune system and regeneration processes. The use of mumijo in moderate amounts has no contraindications, it acts as a general tonic, it contributes to the restoration and the boosting of lost energy, resulting in its non specific action on the whole body and its topical action in wound healing. It has a stimulating effect on a cell level as well, resulting in intense cell division, increase of cell quantity, strengthening of the metabolism of nucleic acids and total proteins. For this reason, mumijo has a favorable effect on the restoration of the composition of peripheral blood, bone marrow, the spleen. Clinical-radiological and microbiological tests have shown that in combined therapy, mumijo is a quite effective agent, contributing to the fast elimination of the main disease symptoms, the clearance of local inflammatory reactions, the improvement of the overall patient condition and health. This preparation improves electrocardiographic indicators and the overall condition, and it stimulates heart muscle function. No allergic reactions or anaphylactic shock have been reported. It must be pointed out that, when taking mumijo, alcohol consumption is not advised. Correct and regular use of mumijo can secure for the body most essential vitamins and a great variety of microelements, and also reduce the risk of immunodeficiency conditions, contributing to a vigorous, good health and energetic longevity. This product can be recommended not only during the post-operative recovery period, for hepatitis, cardiovascular diseases (infarction, heart attack) but also for healthy people as well
Where is Mumijo From?
